Empower Wahine - Te Kuiti Community Yoga

Our year-long community project ‘Empower Wahine’ aims to inspire empowerment for young women through:

– Movement; in ways that suits your needs

– Sharing tools and techniques to help manage stress, improve mental wellbeing and increase confidence

– Connection with like-minded community as we provide refreshments after class

– Removing all barriers that prevent women from self care and exercise

This is an incredible opportunity to practice with us in Te Kuiti for free (or optional koha).

We start on Monday the 24th April 2023 and we’re so excited!

What to expect

Our unique and well-loved yoga classes are built on:

– mobility, strength, stability, resilience, active stretching, and deep relaxation

– regulating the nervous system and stress responses through optimal breathing

– exploring playful, functional, fun, and nourishing movement in a non-competitive environment

– epic music and lovingly created playlists

– there will always be lots of options for all bodies.

Testimonials

Ainslie has so much passion for yoga that truly translates into her teaching style. Her classes are sprinkled with all of these personal touches which give her classes their own unique flavour, which I really enjoy, and I honestly feel like i'm watching a star in the making. Its just my luck, to meet someone who is gonna set the yoga world on fire...as my teacher.

Ainslie’s yoga classes are for anyone after a REAL (realistic, relational and relatable) yoga experience. For me this experience encompasses the following things I value so much.
1. Realistic expectations for you and your body. Ainslie is sure to meet you where your needs are with no judgement.
2. Through her classes you are encouraged to engage in positive relationships with yourself, your body and your yogi friends. This is so special.
3. Ainslie is relatable. She’s kind and her passion sings through in all decisions she makes with her business.

I first started practicing yoga with Ainslie at the YMCA in Hamilton and found these to be some of the best yoga classes I have ever attended. I went on to participate in an online yoga course/classes with I AM Yoga and was impressed with the online support and the quality of the classes. I would highly recommend Ainslie as a yoga teacher and am sorry I no longer live in NZ as I will definitely miss her classes!
