KATIE DIMOND

I grew up in the Hawke’s Bay on a Sheep and Beef farm, travelled the world for the best part of my twenties before coming back to a place I’d called home once before and settling in the Waikato. I farm Dairy Support with my partner out at Waitomo – while still doing the odd bit of travelling!

How did you find Yoga?

I found Yoga whilst on these travels and found it to be incredibly calming and grounding whilst at the same time energising and empowering. I looked forward to the places I would regularly practice while I was travelling so much that I decided to enrol for teacher training in Christchurch and haven’t looked back.

What was your first class like and what kept you coming back to Yoga?

My first class was fast paced and fun, and left me on a high for the rest of the day! I’m still good friends with my very first teacher. That high, that sense of achieving something and that tight knit community is what kept me going back.

What is your favourite posture?

Headstand, wheel and dancers!

What are you looking forward to most about teaching?

Helping people realise what their minds and bodies are capable of.

We'd love to connect with you x
