If you’re needing to step out of the house and into a room of incredible energy to help motivate, inspire and support you, I AM Yoga in-person classes are for you! 

If you’re wanting to embrace some YOU time, learn life-changing tools and practices to cope with stress and anxiety, and invite more peace, stability & strength into your body and mind, you will LOVE our yoga classes.

If your physical, mental & emotional wellbeing is something you would like to prioritise, and you want to feel more grounded, nimble, connected strong and energized – we are here for you!

We have built our beautiful community and small business on the strong values of CONNECTION (to self and community), INCLUSIVITY, MIND-BODY NOURISHMENT & AUTHENTICITY.

Our yoga classes explore functional, fun and nourishing movement in a non-competitive environment. Each class explores and builds on mobility, strength, stability, resilience, active stretching, breathwork and deep relaxation. 

Our classes are just getting bigger and better and just so that you get the best possible experience, we have limited spaces available in each class.

The magic with us

You will be guaranteed friendly smiles and a good laugh when you practice with our welcoming communities.

Yoga is a practice, not a performance. It is your own practice. Our experienced teachers therefore offer progressions and modifications to suit every body in the room to ensure you are practicing at a place that feels right for you. There is no such thing as competition in our yoga rooms so it’s important to listen to your own body. 

You’ll be amazed at how much strength, mobility, energy, resilience and clarity you cultivate with a regular yoga practice, and we’re so excited to facilitate this journey with you!

Term 4 2024

Our fourth term of 2024 is 9 weeks and begins Monday 14 October and ends 13th December 2024. 

Scholarships & Payment Plans:

We have payment plans available – if this is something you’d like, please email Ainslie at ainslie@iamyoga.co.nz

We have 2 full and 2 partial scholarships available for each class so if you are currently under financial stress, please email Ainslie on ainslie@iamyoga.co.nz saying ‘partial scholarship please’. No questions asked.

Enliven Flow (Otorohanga)

Our favourite way to begin the week! It’s fun, light-hearted, dynamic and you get to choose how challenging your practice needs to be for you on the day. You’ll walk out feeling calm and energized.

This will be a great class for you if you want to build on your strength, stability, balance & mobility and learn how stress manifests in the body & how to transform and process it.

We incorporate mindful breathing, mobility, strength, embodiment practices, stability, active stretching, and deep relaxation. 

Great for those who want to start the week off on a fresh clean slate and empowering intentions!

This class is suitable for all levels.

Energise and re-charge yourself in this mid-week mindful flow with Holz and Alicia! 

It’s fun, light-hearted, dynamic and you get to choose how challenging your practice needs to be for you on the day.

This will be a great class for you if you want to build on your strength, stability, balance & mobility and learn how stress manifests in the body & how to transform and process it.

We incorporate mindful breathing, mobility, strength, embodiment practices, stability, active stretching, and deep relaxation. 

This class is practiced in a super friendly and laid back environment (all genders), with skillful teachers who will make sure you are learning as you go, giving you options that are suitable for your body and your energy levels!

This class is suitable for all levels.

The highlight of everyone’s week! Embrace your Friday mornings with Alicia to let go of the week that has been and kickstart your weekend!

It’s fun, light-hearted, dynamic and a little bit sweaty & spicy! You get to choose how challenging your practice needs to be for you on the day.

This will be a great class for you if you want to build on your strength, stability, balance & mobility and learn how stress manifests in the body & how to transform and process it.

We incorporate mindful breathing, mobility, strength, embodiment practices, stability, active stretching, and relaxation.

Frequently Asked Questions

With a passion for anatomy, functional biomechanics, mindfulness, philosophy, energetics, mind-body connection, and neuroscience, our classes offer an incredibly unique experience. Most classes will cover breath awareness, mindfulness, joint and fascia mobility, stability, strength, active stretching, and relaxation.

We run classes throughout the year and we work in 10 week terms. Each term has a particular focus based on what we might all be needing at that time of the year on a global level, including elements of energetics, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and chakra systems which all relate to and amplify your physical practice.

Current term: Begins 18th January and ends 26th March 2021.

Next term: Begins 29th March and ends 4th May 2021.

Investment for the term:

2 CLASSES per week $180

1 CLASS per week $330

Yoga mat (we have spares), comfy clothes you can move freely in, water bottle, a towel if you get sweaty, and most importantly – an open mind and no expectations.

Please talk to us regarding any concerns or injuries you may have before class, or email us before coming. There are many modifications we can make for all types of injuries so that you feel comfortable and safe while practicing. You are always welcome to talk to us before or after class if you have any concerns or need something explained a little better. Your specific needs are important to us.
